Bio-Gone FAQ’s
Q: Can I do the cleaning myself?
A: It is not recommended because, it has been noted that prolonged exposure to the effects of a traumatic event can increase a persons risk to psychological difficulties and potentially post-traumatic stress. In addition, exposure to potentially infectious material can significantly increase your risk to life threatening diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis, Crutchfield-Jakobs disease, Tuberculosis and a host of other pathogens. Even a small scene can pose a big risk to your health.
Q: Can I have my regular janitorial service or employee clean up?
A: OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) mandate that all persons who may be exposed to potentially infectious material be properly TRAINED, EQUIPPED AND VACCINATED. If a service operates outside of this mandate they could face severe penalties and fines.
Q: What are the costs associated with your services?
A: Our costs are based on a time, materials, and bio-hazardous waste structure comparable to those found in the Bluebook Cost Guide for cleaning, reconstruction and repairs. Each scene is unique and as being such quotes and estimates can be difficult, if not impossible to determine prior to work commencement.
Q: How is Bio-Gone typically paid for its services?
A: In most cases our services are reimbursed through your insurance provider (home, auto, business). In the event that you do not have coverage it may be possible to work through the state’s victim compensation board to cover the cost of clean-up. In any case, Bio-Gone will work with you to meet your immediate need.
Q: What is your service area?
A: Bio-Gone covers the greater Mid-South area to include: West Tennessee, North Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas. We will respond further out on a case by case basis depending upon the need. If your need falls outside of our coverage area the Bio-Recovery Corporation and American Bio-Recovery Association have listings of similarly suited companies. (David, add links here to these two sites please.)
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Bio-Gone stands ready to assist you 24hours a day 7 days a week and our technicians will be dispatched soon after receiving your call. We are poised to serve you regardless of time of day or time of need.
